The countdown for the third Isle of Barra community relay triathlon has begun.

A team event, the relay triathlon on Saturday, September 12, comprises a 400 metre swim, a four-mile bike ride, and a two-mile run.

The entry fee per 3-strong team is £15, with all monies raised going to the Barra's Hydropool Fundraisers. For insurance purposes, each individual taking part must register online.

Bib registration opens at 10.30 am on the day, with the start scheduled for 11 am.

There will be medals for all and trophies for the winners, plus a community lunch from Padula’s afterwards, courtesy of Barra Running Club.
