My Darling Clementine are set to perform tomorrow (Wednesday 27 May) at Lews Castle.

The musical couple Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish are currently working their way through the UK with now just three stops left to go. The next being their islands debut at Storehouse Café at the castle.

After one of their recent performances in England at the CAT Club in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, the duo received a raving review and attendees commenting to say how much they enjoyed the night.

One commenter called it “a breathtaking show”, while another said they had an “absolutely splendid afternoon”.

A lot of the comments admired the two performers for their courage in performing such emotional songs.

One attendee said: “Great admiration for how both singers managed to purvey such sorrow with such courage.”

The couple both have separate experiences in the music industry which makes what they’ve created with My Darling Clementine stronger.

Prior to forming the band, Lou worked with music and film legends Bryan Ferry, Steven Spielberg and The Brodsky Quartet. From 1993 to 2000, Lou released four albums.

Michael is the former leader of The Good Sons, who was dubbed ‘England’s very own Uncle Tupelo’. He released 10 solo albums and four more with The Good Sons, and has also collaborated with Chris Hillman, Ron Sexsmith, Jackie Leven, and Townes Van Zandt.

My Darling Clementine’s performance starts at 8pm and tickets cost £15. Those who are interested in attending the show can buy tickets online on the An Lanntair website, as well as having the option to pay on arrival.
