As you may know the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar 'Slàinte Mhath!' Sports Facility Access scheme is the cheapest of its kind in Scotland, and has been used as an example of good practice by Audit Scotland of how a local authority has made their community more physically active and increased income by reducing prices. 'Slàinte Mhath!' prices have remained unchanged since the scheme was introduced over five years ago, and the 'Slàinte Mhath!' prices will not increase at present. However, the 'Pay As You Go' prices will increase slightly, by around 2%, on Monday 20th April. The prices are aimed to be around the middle of the Scottish average, even for customers who are not part of the 'Slàinte Mhath!' scheme. This increase in 'Pay As You Go' prices makes the 'Slàinte Mhath!' scheme an even better deal. So, if you are using the Lewis Sports Centre facilities regularly, why not take out a membership?!
