The Navantia UK Arnish Yard team are celebrating after winning the Made In Scotland Energy/Renewables Manufacturer of the Year award last night in Glasgow.
The Lewis-based manufacturing yard was nominated in this year’s Insider Made in Scotland Awards 2026, joining a line-up of businesses and organisations showcasing strength, depth and diversity of Scotland’s manufacturing sector.
Navantia UK Arnish took home the Energy/Renewables Manufacturer of the Year award, showcasing what a "real island renewables supply chain looks like".

General Manager at Arnish Albert Allan told welovestornoway.com they were "delighted".
He said: “Delighted for Navantia UK, that their faith in the Arnish workforce has been recognised, for the Arnish workforce to be recognised by their peers for delivering world-class manufacturing projects from Caribbean to the Black Sea, and for the clients who continue to put their faith in us to deliver their projects, delighted for the local community who give us so much support and encouragement.
“There is more to come from Navantia UK Arnish, this is just the start of the journey.”
Arnish has also recently attained the fit for Offshore Renewables (F4OR) accreditation, meaning it is registered as being capable of working in the offshore renewable energy sector.
This, along with the investment in new technology, saw Arnish Yard recognised as the top energy and renewable manufacturer of the year.
The event took place at the Voco Grand Central Hotel in Glasgow last night (8 October).
The Awards included a range of categories, including top Food and Drink Manufacturer of the Year, Bio-tech Manufacturer of the Year, Engineering Manufacturer of the Year, and many more, with a host of Scottish businesses up for an award.
