What’s happening at
Western Isles Libraries

Libraries are open with Connect & Collect

Libraries are open again with a new Connect & Collect service.

We hope to open for proper browsing again soon, but in the meantime, take advantage of our personal shopper service at your library.  CONNECT with us to ask for some books and/or DVDs, and then COLLECT your items when it’s convenient to you.

There are lots of ways to connect with us – you can phone or email, or complete the online Connect & Collect form to let us know what you would like.

Please note that we are open reduced hours at the moment, but aim to extend these soon and reopen for browsing as soon as it is safe and possible.

We are getting lovely new books in all the time, so follow us on social media to see what appeals to you!

Murder Mystery Play Competition

You may remember that we advertised our murder mystery play competition in March, but then something cropped up to disrupt our plans. Well, the competition is up and running again. What better to do, with winter creeping up, then turn your creative minds to creating a fun whodunit?

The winning entry will be performed, in aid of Alzheimer Scotland, as soon as it is safe to do so.

Visit the website to find out about the rules and regulations for the murder mystery play competition and get writing!
