Job Title: Administration and Marketing Assistant

Salary: £20,300-£23,600

(Placement on the salary scale will be dependent on experience)

Role Description

Lewis Builders are the leading service, facilities management and construction company in the Western Isles with innovation as our core value, with highly skilled multi trades in house – and we are currently looking to strengthen our team for the future.

Lewis Builders are looking for an Administration and Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role however this post would suit a school leaver or recent graduate. We are looking for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in Administration and possesses strong administrative skills. The candidate should be passionate about social media to craft social media posts and manage our social platforms. This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week, 9am-5pm with a 1-hour lunch break. Training will be provided in all systems and processes.

Duties

Admin duties -

  • Reception duties, greeting customers and clients in a friendly manner.
  • Responding to customer enquiries via email/telephone.
  • Office filing.
  • Inputting supplier invoices through contract costing systems.
  • Creating customer invoices.
  • Updating information to Contract Costing (timesheets).
  • Checking and updating training matrix, renewing competency cards.
  • Assisting payroll processing.
  • Assisting in finance duties.

Marketing duties-

  • Review, update and monitor the company’s social media presence: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn.
  • Manage social media communications.
  • Create a Social Media plan for posts.
  • Create bespoke & dynamic social media posts and recruitment adverts.
  • Creating blog posts on current and upcoming projects.
  • Updating website content.
  • Analyse & report on online activity and engagement, boosting posts where required.
  • Manage press releases.

Requirements

  • Experience in using Microsoft applications.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Has strong interpersonal skills, confident in dealing with clients and customers.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Strong Administrative skills.
  • Qualification in Admin/business admin desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Hold a UK drivers licence or be willing to work towards obtaining your licence.
