Bird flu has been detected at 18 Knockaird in Ness, the Scottish Government has announced.
Protection and surveillance zones are now in force until further notice.
The restrictions were put in place after it was confirmed that the highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N5 had been found.
A 1.8-mile protection zone and a six-mile surveillance zone came into effect last night.
The Chief Veterinary Officer (Scotland) has issued guidance that bird keepers in the affected area must follow strict biosecurity measures and adhere to the protection and surveillance zone restrictions to prevent further outbreaks.
