The deadline for submissions to the 2026/27 Coastal Community fund has been extended to 31 May 2026.

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has assigned over £1m of funding from Crown Estate revenues to support community projects across the Western Isles.

In February 2026 Comhairle nan Eilean Siar agreed that a figure of £100,000 will be made available for each ward’s Coastal Community Fund. This allocation represents an increase from the 2025/26 fund. 

In previous years, the Coastal Community Fund has been used successfully to support the development of community projects across the Western Isles.
