Bicycle shed

HITRANS has applied for planning consent to erect a bicycle shed in Stornoway.

The cycle shelter and stands are to be located on South Beach Street beside the bus station.

Erect a house

Planning consent is requested to erect a two-storey, four-bedroom house at 23 Crowlista, Uig.

The applicant Gordon Macrae, of 6-7 Achnahanaid, Braes, Isle of Skye, also wishes to install a private sewage treatment plant, solar panels and air source heat pump. It is further proposed that gabion baskets be used within site works, that the existing drystone walling be made good and that new access be created. 

Erect meteorological masts

A Perth-based renewable energy company has lodged proposals to erect two meteorological masts.

RWE Renewables UK Ltd is seeking planning permission to instal a 120m high meteorological mast at Airigh a' Ghille Ruaidh adjacent to Lochs Road (E 137350 N 928664) and a second mast at Airidhbhruach (E 120701 N 917898).

Amended plans

Planning consent is being sought for amended plans to demolish an existing property and erect a new house on the same site.

Applicants David and Elizabeth Lambert have submitted revised plans to demolish the existing house at 19A Aird, Tong, and replace it with a 1.5 storey two-bedroom house with an integral garage. 

The plans also include erecting a polycarbonate tunnel.
