Crofters attending the livestock sale in Lochboisdale on Monday (April 22) can get a blood pressure check.

Nurse Annie MacDonald will be at the United Auctions—Livestock Auctioneers sale, having recently joined the health team of the non-profit RSABI. The organisation provides emotional, practical, and financial support to people in Scottish agriculture.

RSABI commented: “Annie is really looking forward to working with RSABI and meeting people at the Lochboisdale sales and will be set up near the entrance to the market.”

Among the organisation’s supporters is Perthshire farmer and comedian John Smith, who has gone viral in recent years with his witty takes on farming life. He is also the face of the Keep Talking campaign, which addresses mental health within the agricultural sector.
