      Barra & Vatersay News

Barra and Vatersay residents will have an opportunity to have their say on ferry and transport services next week at a Transport Scotland consultation event at the UHI Barra Learning Centre.

The Scottish Government body is seeking feedback on the proposed Islands Connectivity Plan on Tuesday (April 16) via a structured workshop and drop-in session, beginning at 6 pm.

The public consultation aims to gather valuable insights and contributions to the development of the Islands Connectivity Plan.

The evening workshop will feature small group discussions,  each led by a Transport Scotland facilitator. Participants will engage in three rounds of discussions, exploring key themes.

The three themes are community voice and transparency, accessibility of ferries for people with disabilities or other impairments to travel, and integration of ferries with onward and connecting travel.

Following the workshop, the community will have a 30-minute drop-in session to contribute their further thoughts.

You can reserve a free spot on Eventbrite.
