After being stranded at a Liverpool repair dock earlier this week, the MV Clansman is scheduled to return to station today (Saturday, February 24).

The ferry’s delayed reappearance, due to the lack of a tug in the Mersey port, means CalMac can now resume sailings on the Little Minches route. The MV Clansman is scheduled to return to service with the 07:30 sailing from Lochmaddy.

MV Hebridean Isles will operate an additional alternative service as follows:

Depart Uig – 07:00
Arrive Lochboisdale – 10:30

Last night, CalMac remained somewhat vague about ferry services out of Tarbert, saying only that “MV Clansman is expected to resume normal service.”

Meanwhile, MV Loch Bhrusda (below) has taken over duties on the Berneray-Leverburgh service to allow the MV Loch Portain to go for its annual overhaul. The MV Loch Bhrusda is expected to be operating the service until at least Tuesday, March 12.
