A further delay with the overhaul of the MV Clansman means another week of ferry disruption for Barra, Mull and Uist.

Yesterday afternoon (February 16), it emerged that the MV Clansman is not expected to return to service until next Friday (February 23).

The impact of this is that MV Hebridean Isles will continue in its Uist role, and the MV Isle of Mull will be redeployed to service Mull and Barra in the meantime.

The timetable for the shared Mull-Barra service is as follows:

Saturday, February 17

Depart Oban – 13:00
Arrive Castlebay – 18:35

The 18:00 Lochboisdale to Castlebay sailing has been cancelled. 

Sunday, February 18

Depart Castlebay - 0525 (early 0605)
Arrive Oban - 1100 (early 1140)

The vessel will then operate for the remainder of the day to Craignure. The 1230 Oban to Castlebay and the 1820 Castlebay to Lochboisdale have been cancelled.

Monday, February 19

Depart Oban - 1200
Arrive Castlebay -  1735

Before departure to Castlebay, the vessel will operate to Craignure. The 1840 departing Lochboisdale to Castlebay is cancelled.

Tuesday, February 20

Depart Castlebay - 0550
Arrive Oban - 1125

The vessel will then operate for the remainder of the day to Craignure.

Wednesday, February 21

Depart Oban -  1220
Arrive Castlebay - 1755

Before departure to Castlebay, the vessel will operate to Craignure. The 0550 departing Castlebay to Oban and the 1800 departing Castlebay to Lochboisdale are cancelled.

Thursday. February 22

Depart Castlebay - 0525
Arrive Oban - 1100

The vessel will then operate for the remainder of the day to Craignure. The 1840 departing Lochboisdale to Castlebay is cancelled.
