Weather is again impacting the Mallaig-Oban-Lochboisdale ferry route, with this morning’s Oban sailing (Tuesday, December 5) being brought forward to 06:45.

The ferry will now arrive in Lochboisdale at 12:25.

The sailing departing Lochboisdale has therefore been reinstated and will operate as follows:

Depart Lochboisdale - 12:40
Arrive Oban - 18:40

However, CalMac warns that the crossing is liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice due to the adverse weather forecast. Customers are also advised to travel today if possible, as sailings are cancelled for Wednesday, December 6 and Thursday, December 7.

Meanwhile, sailings will likely be interrupted on Friday (December 8). A further update on Friday’s sailings will be issued by CalMac tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday, December 6).
