The radar fault restricting MV Isle of Arran has now been fixed, and the ferry will return to its normal timetable this morning (Monday, December 4).

The 06:10 departure from Lochboisdale will go ahead per the published timetable, arriving in Oban at 11:55. The previously planned 11:20 departure from Oban is now cancelled.

However, there are some timetable changes in the days ahead, with CalMac also warning that sailings are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice from tomorrow until Friday, December 8.

The current state of play is as follows:

Tuesday, December 5

The 09:40 departing Lochboisdale is cancelled.

The 13:50 departing Mallaig will now depart Oban as follows:

Depart Oban - 12:30
Arrive Lochboisdale - 18:15

Wednesday, December 6

Depart Lochboisdale - 05:55 (delayed 05:20)
Arrive Oban - 11:40
Depart Oban - 12:30 (delayed 11:20)
Arrive Lochboisdale - 18:15

Thursday, December 7

Service will operate at an earlier time to Oban and not Mallaig as timetabled -

Depart Lochboisdale – 05:55 (previously 0940)
Arrive Oban – 11:40

The 13:50 departure from Mallaig has been cancelled, and Oban has no return leg.

Meanwhile, the 11:00 ferry sailing from Ullapool to Lochmaddy on Tuesday, December 12, has been delayed until 12:00 due to operational reasons.

The new arrival time into Lochmaddy is 16:30.
