The first announcements on artists for HebCelt 2024 have been made this morning (Thursday 23 November) as weekend tickets go on sale tomorrow at 10am.

Hebridean Celtic Festival, next year on 17 – 20 July, will see a line-up featuring Glasgow alternative rockers Del Amitri and Irish multi-instrumentalist Sharon Shannon, alongside a wide variety of local, Scottish and international performers.

Among island musicians participating in the annual celebration of Celtic musical will be the liveliest band in Lewis, Face the West, and Gaelic band Sian, featuring singers from North Uist, Ness and Skye.

Prolific singer-songwriter Willie Campbell will be fronting his own band and Gaelic singer Katie Macfarlane, who has connections in North Uist, will make her HebCelt debut. She released her first album An Nighean Sheunta/The Enchanted Girl last month.

From the international circuit come Canadian fiddle and step dancers The Lumber Jills, while Scottish talent is well to the fore with Elephant Sessions, indie-rockers Low Light Listening Lounge and up-and-coming duo The Laurettes.

HebCelt artist programmer Michelle Shields said: "We are delighted to reveal the first wave of artists who will be joining us at HebCelt 2024, which the team aims to make our best yet.

“We remain deeply appreciative of the unwavering support we receive from our community and loyal festival goers.

“We were truly overwhelmed with the response to our early bird ticket release earlier this year – they flew out the door! If you want to join us next summer, I would recommend snapping up your weekend tickets very soon."

General weekend tickets will be on sale from 10am, Friday 24 November and are available, along with plenty more information, from www.hebceltfest.com.
