The new Iceland store being created on Stornoway's Cromwell Street will mean work for more than 20 people with the posts due to be advertised from Monday September 25 .
The store's manager Kevin Poke said there will be a variety of positions advertised with applications available from Monday at the Stornoway Job Centre.
They will also be hosting a special drop in session for anyone interested in finding out more information this coming Monday from 12-3.
Kevin says he is thrilled and delighted to see the forthcoming Iceland store take shape and move closer to an official opening.
He has confirmed that the opening ribbon will be cut by a lucky competition winner who will also win a £100 shop voucher to be used in store.
“We are running a competition on Facebook for anyone to share, like and post a message on our page and from there we will pick a winner,” he said.
“They will conduct the official opening and also earn a £100 shop voucher.
"We are keeping everyone up to date on our progress through our Facebook page and have been overwhelmed by the fantastic response we have been given by everyone wishing us well. We will continue to announce further information in the lead up to launch."
Iceland are frozen food specialists but in addition to their range of frozen goods, the Stornoway store will also stock and sell grocery products, dairy, produce and alcohol as well as boasting exclusive rights to Slimming World products which will be carried in store.
There are no plans for the store to provide a home delivery service on the islands but the store will be open 8am till 8pm six days a week.
Kevin said: “We are really excited now as we are seeing the building take shape and it is great to be able to bring this fantastic new offer to the island.
“We are unable to confirm the exact opening date at the moment as we are waiting on specialist equipment to be delivered and do not wish to disappoint everyone.
"However, we will let everyone know as soon as possible so keep checking for further updates."
