At 13.40 today, Friday August 17th Police Scotland say: Police enquiries are continuing to trace Hannah Mackenzie who has been reported missing in the Stornoway area on the Isle of Lewis.
The 17-year-old from Gravir was last seen at about 4pm on Thursday, August 16 outside the Nicolson Institute in Stornoway and was reported missing later that evening.
Hannah is described as being 5ft 5in tall, slim build, with dark hair worn in a ponytail.
She was last seen a dark blue Nicolson Institute sweater, wearing black skinny jeans and a black waist length jacket with white lining and white furry strip on the hood.
Searches are ongoing with particular focus on the Castle Grounds in Stornoway. Police Scotland have been supported by Hebrides Search and Rescue and HM Coastguard, who tasked all volunteer coastguard teams from around Lewis and Harris and the Coastguard helicopter to participate in the search.
This follows a potential sighting in the area on Thursday evening.
Inspector Jane Nicolson said: "We are grateful to everyone who has been in contact so far with information and encourage anyone else who can help to get in touch.
"If Hannah herself is reading this then please get in touch and let us and your family know you are safe and well.

Hannah, who is from Gravir, was intending to walk to the Western Isles Hospital from The Nicolson Institute when she last seen about 4:00pm on yesterday, 16th August 2018.
If anyone has seen Hannah or has any information or knowledge as to her whereabouts, please contact police as a matter of urgency.
