Stornoway RNLI volunteer crew launched yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 21st June), at 1605 hours to complete a medical evacuation from a cruise ship anchored outside Stornoway Harbour.
The casualty was transferred onto the ‘Tom Sanderson’ lifeboat and taken ashore, landed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service and the Stornoway Coastguard Rescue Team.
The Stornoway RNLI lifeboat was alongside and ready for service at 1715hours.
