The Wee West Summer Festival - a celebration of community summer and music - is all set for this weekend.
Now in its third year, the festival begins on Friday (June 8) at the Shawbost Centre with a ceilidh dance.
Saturday sees a range of events, some free, including talks, a museum visit, candle making, and open croft and weaving shed visits.
At 3 pm, there is a free acoustic music session, then a hotpot from 5 pm to 6 pm.
On Sunday, there’s a Singing on the Shore praise event at 10 am.
Tickets for the ceilidh dance, Saturday’s Coffee ‘n’ Cake, and Hotpot are available from mctaggart-store.com and the Shawbost post office. Weekend and family tickets are available. Tickets, if available, can be bought at the door but will have a £2 surcharge.
The first Wee West was a housewarming and was a small affair due to the weather. The second festival was a one-nighter in the Shawbost Old School Centre. And this year, the festival has grown to encompass the entire weekend.
