North Lochs Historical Society is appealing for help with their latest project centred on 1973.

The historical society is helping North Lochs Community Association celebrate its 50th anniversary and looking for pictures of hall events from 1973 to date.

The historical society is also keen to source images taken in North Lochs villages around 1973 as well as weddings and babies born in that year.

An appeal for information about the first Leurbost Hall is also being sought. It was located opposite where Lochs MoT Services stands today, but few, if any, images survive.

The historical society would also like to hear from anyone involved in the committee that built the hall’s replacement at Creagan Dubh.

A 50th anniversary ceilidh is planned for December 29, with details to be confirmed nearer the time.
