The Rockall Expedition yacht, Taeping, has skirted the Mull of Kintyre and is heading out to open water today (Sunday, May 28).
After being weather-bound off Arran in the Firth of Clyde, not far from their Inverkip departure point, the weather looks favourable for a possible landing at Rockall on Tuesday.
The three-man team plans to set a new world record of 60 days of continuous occupancy on the rocky islet and raise £1m for veterans and sick children.
