For the past few years,  local ceilidh dancers from West Lewis  have been holding monthly dance nights in Borve House Hotel.

Live music is provided by the appropriately named Ceum Sunndach Ceilidh Band.

A charity collection is taken each night, and a donation is made to a local charity whenever a figure of £500 is reached. 

The band occasionally play elsewhere,  and having recently been given £900, also decided to donate the money to charity.

The total sum of £1400 was shared with  three chosen charities: Western Isles Cancer Care Initiative, Hillcrest Childrens' Home, and Sgoil Àraich an Taobh Siar.
