West Harris Trust is partnering with the UHI Centre for History and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig on a new collaborative Doctoral Award.

The Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities is funding the PhD.

The research, entitled ‘The past, present and future of a community-owned estate: building resilient future heritage’, is focussed on the West Harris Estate. The project will seek to uncover the intertwinings of history, heritage, and community development in the locality.
