Development Manager for The Leanne Fund, Chrisetta Mitchell said: “We are delighted to be holding The Leanne Fund 5k/10k again this year and are very grateful to Point and Sandwick Trust for their continued sponsorship. We are really looking forward to getting together with familiar faces, and we openly welcome all walkers and runners to get involved in the friendly atmosphere of the event.”

There have also been some exciting things happening behind the scenes at The Leanne Fund recently. Not only are they getting ready to crown their 2023 5k/10k winners, but they are also unpacking boxes at their new office.

Chrisetta said: “This has been a year of welcome change for the Fund as we relocate to new premises and continue to expand our services from the North of Scotland to three new regions across the central belt of Scotland with the generous support of the National Lottery Community Fund.

“As part of this development we are delighted to welcome Ronah Muir who joins our team as Project Support Officer. We are excited about this new chapter, and we look forward to working with the new CF teams and supporting more families.”

Donald John MacSween, General Manager, Point and Sandwick Trust said: "We are delighted to be sponsoring The Leanne Fund 5k and 10k runs again this year and we have also asked our friend SandiePhotos to capture the event in photos and we look forward to sharing those.  We know just how hard the team at The Leanne Fund work to put on this excellent event and we will be happy to cheer on the runners and walkers on June 3. Hoping for some brilliant fancy dress entries too!"
