Benbecula’s Eilean Dorcha Festival has issued a warning over ticket scams being sent by email.

Scammers typically claim to have free tickets to give away.

But last night, the festival organisers warned: “Do not click on any links you may be sent by scammers.

"EDF will not ask you to click any links. If you win the tickets, we will always ask you to contact us to arrange collection.”

The festival also posted a screenshot of a typical scam email that’s circulating.

Meanwhile, EDF will confirm this year’s full festival lineup later today (Thursday, March 30).

A pair of weekend tickets are up for grabs for people who share the festival’s latest Facebook post, tag a friend and share their favourite EDF photos.
