Wee Studio founder Keith Morrison has extended his reach across the Atlantic over the weekend.

Keith, who is close to completing work on his new recording studio complex at South Dell in Ness, took a break from that development to hop on a plane across the ocean with his band, Heron Valley – especially to play two dates in the USA.

Two highly unusual venues were selected for the performance by Keith and fellow band members Abigail Pryde, Alastair Maclean and Callum Cronin.

On Friday they were playing the pan-Celtic Slàinte Festival at Steelstacks PA, an arts campus on site of a former steel plant in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

And yesterday afternoon it was the turn of a historic former Methodist church, Tompkins Corners Cultural Centre in Putnam Valley, New York State, to welcome ‘energy-fuelled music, direct from Scotland.’

Heron Valley will be on the mainstage at HebCelt on Saturday 15 July.

The pictures show Keith with fellow band-members, heading west on their transatlantic flight and at the two venues of their US mini-tour (Heron Valley).
