Bernera Historical Society is opening the island’s Iron Age House to visitors this Easter ahead of the regular summer season.
This is the first time the reconstructed Bosta house has been open at Easter for a number of years.
The doors will be open from Monday, April 3 to Friday, April 14, between 12 and 4 pm.
The summer season gets underway on Monday, May 1 and runs to Friday, September 29, when the opening hours will be 12 to 4 pm. The house will also be open on Saturdays (12 - 4 pm) during June, July, and August.
The new guide, Paul Macaulay, will welcome guests to this unique historical attraction. Entrance fees have been frozen again at £4 per adult and £1 per child.
Meanwhile, Bernera Museum is due to reopen on Monday, May 1 through to Friday, September 29, with the same 12 to 4 pm opening hours Monday to Friday.
Entrance to the museum is also held at £2 per person, children under 12 free.
