Woodland Trust Scotland is running a free tree planting course on Grimsay on Thursday, April 6.
The day-long course, entitled Trees for the Croft, is billed as a practical outdoor day suitable for anyone interested in planting trees.
The course will cover ground preparation, planting techniques, and protection and aftercare.
Refreshments and a light lunch will be provided. Participants must bring a spade, a strong bag or bucket, and gloves and be prepared for the weather.
As the number of places on the course is limited, booking is essential.
