Fèis Tir A’ Mhurain is warning that the feis will not happen this year unless they have sufficient volunteers.
The fèis is scheduled for its first post-pandemic edition in Sgoil an Iochdair in July. But the event is in danger of collapsing unless more volunteers come forward.
Around 40 children are due to attend the Gaelic evening classes in singing, drama, accordion, and chanter.
Issuing a last-ditch appeal for volunteers, Ealain Tìr A’ Mhurain said: “The committee are in a position to put everything in place to allow our Gaelic Medium Fèis to go ahead in Sgoil an Iochdair from the 10th to the 14th of July. But the fèis will not happen if we do not have enough volunteers to support and supervise on each day the feis is on.”
The organising committee have created an online form for volunteering.
Volunteer duties include supervising children while embarking and disembarking off the bus, during breaks and lunch, taking registers in each class, making teas and coffees, clearing up after lunchtime, and helping in the tuck shop.
