Cycling UK is holding a free cycling event for all ages in Benbecula next month to help riders get the most out of their bikes.

The Benbecula Community Cycling Event is set for Saturday, March 4, at Balivanich Community Hall between 9.30am-5.30pm and 7-9 pm.

Among the activities on offer are free bike servicing, guided hour-long rides, and ‘have a try’ bike sessions with e-bikes, regular bikes, cargo bike, and balance bikes.

There are also basic bicycle repair and maintenance lessons and info sessions on road positioning, the Highway Code, and route finding. There will also be refreshments, games and activities.

Pre-booking is required for most of the day’s events.
