The family of the late Murdo Alex Macritchie and staff from Acair recently met with staff of Bethesda Hospice in Stornoway to present a copy of Murdo Alex’s book HAAR The New Hebridean Kitchen, which was published by Stornoway-based Acair in December.

Murdo Alex was known as the Hebridean chef due to his championing of island produce.

The book features his recipes and is illustrated with photographs from the Hebrides.
