Celebrated Scottish harpist Esther Swift is set to perform at Uig Community Centre as she embarks on a tour of the UK and New Zealand.

She will be joined at the gig on Thursday, March 23, by island-based singer and songwriter Andrew Eaton Lewis, who is signed to Wee Studio Records.

Esther Swift is an internationally-recognised harpist and singer who works across genres, from classical chamber music to free improvisation.

She has recently been commissioned by Celtic Connections, Chamber Music Scotland, Manchester Jazz festival and The Edwin Morgan Trust and performed internationally with her band Emergence Ensemble.

Andrew Eaton Lewis, who handily lives only ten minutes from the community centre, is a musician whose work has been featured in a Hollywood movie, daytime Radio One, and numerous theatre shows, festivals and short films.

He has shared stages with Emma Pollock, Ricky Ross, Rachel Sermanni, Withered Hand and RM Hubbert, among others.
