Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn (UOG, Galson Estate Trust) has welcomed Jemma MacVicar as its new executive manager, it was announced today (Monday 28 November).
Jemma previously worked with Uist Council of Voluntary Organisations as a locality partnership officer and has also held management roles with Boots and TalkTalk, both based in Stornoway.
Her new position will involve leadership of UOG, particularly managing key stakeholder relationships, governance and overseeing delivery of the strategic plan.
She said “I am incredibly thankful to have been offered the position of executive manager at UOG, whom I have long admired for their innovation and service to the community.
“I’m excited for the upcoming challenge and hope to combine my previous experience in community development and private-sector management to best serve the people of the Galson Estate.
“I look forward to getting to know the community and meeting many new faces over the coming months.”
