Some ferries across the Western Isles are cancelled or under threat of disruption because of worsening weather conditions, say CalMac Ferries this morning (Monday September 26).
The freight ferry services for Stornoway overnight today (Monday 26 to Tuesday 27 September) have been cancelled.
That is Monday 26 September Depart Stornoway - 22:30 and Tuesday 27 September - Depart Ullapool - 03:00
The evening sailing on Tuesday 27 and the morning sailing on Wednesday 28 are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.
Day sailings by MV Loch Seaforth were also later cancelled: The 14:00 sailing departing Stornoway and 17:30 departing Ullapool were cancelled due to strong winds and sea swell.
The 07:00 sailing departing Stornoway and 10:30 sailing departing Ullapool are also cancelled, again this is said to be due to strong winds and sea swell.
Sailings to Lochboisdale are already cancelled because of linkspan repairs with additional services running to Lochmaddy.
The ferry services from Oban to Castlebay are are liable to disruption because of forecast adverse weather with North/North Westerly winds and associated sea conditions.
