The fundraising Struan Tea in South Uist has raised a total of £15,052 for Parkinson’s, the organisers have announced.

Revealing the funds generated by last weekend’s at Talla an Iochdair, the event organisers commented online: “Once again, we are stunned by the enormous support Strùan Tea for Parkinson’s has had from you all. Whether you’re an individual or a business who donated something, or you came to the event, you all helped to raise this amazing total!”

The fundraising tea for Parkinson’s UK in Scotland was in memory of the late Flora Macleod.

The money raised will be used to support the ongoing research for a cure for Parkinson’s and support for people living with the condition.
