Mast upgrade

 Cornerstone and O2 Telefónica UK have notified Comhairle nan Eilean Siar about proposed upgrading work at the Market Stance telecoms mast.

Under permitted development, it is proposed to install a five-metre extension to the existing 12-metre lattice tower and remove seven existing antennas.

These are to be replaced by three TEF antennas, three Airwave antennas, and two 0.9 metre dishes.

The related ancillary equipment is also to be removed and replaced.
