There’s justified pride for Mollans Rainbow Shed in North Shawbost, who have learnt that they are nominated for a hospitality award as part of the Royal Bank of Scotland Proud Scotland awards 2022.
Mollans Rainbow Shed is a family-run business where Julie, Rachel and Shannon welcome everybody, offering them a luscious selection of sweet and savoury bakes, hearty breakfasts and suppers, including fish and chips.
They say: “Everyone is welcome here. We don't believe your age, skin colour, gender, sexuality, religious beliefs or anything else for that matter is anyone's business but your own.
“We only ask one thing of everyone - be kind - we can all do that.”
Their philosophy has earned them a nomination for the Proud Scotland awards, designed to celebrate the LGBTQI+ community and to recognise outstanding work and commitment by those supportive of that community.
The awards take place on 3 June at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow.
