Plans for a licensed public house in Leverburgh have been given approval by Comhairle nan Eilean Siar.

Permission was notified last Monday (11 April) to applicant Alun Pearson of Stockton on Tees to change the use of the bothy formerly used by Obbe Fishings, at Kintulavig in Leverburgh, to become a licensed public house and restaurant, with a new kitchen extension and car park.

The permission does not include provision for outdoor seating, eating or drinking and limits working time during the construction process to prevent night-time or Sunday working.
