Castlebay Community Campus

The Comhairle has received a pre-application Community Consultation Notice as planning authority regarding the proposed Castlebay Community Campus.

The proposal, submitted by Iain Mackinnon, the Comhairle’s Director for Investment Delivery, is for the erection of the campus, which comprises pre-school, primary and secondary education facilities, health facilities, housing with extra care, community and police facilities, sports hall and swimming pool, with associated parking, bus drop-off and provision of external landscape spaces and sports pitches.

It is planned to hold a public drop-in session on June 9 at Barra Community Hall. Details of the project are also to be made available online between May 23 and June 17.
