The Gaelic Society of London (Comunn Gàidhlig Lunnainn) is hosting an online talk on the discovery of Bronze Age settlements preserved in the South Uist machair.

The talk on the archaeological findings at Cladh Hallan is by Prof Michael Parker Pearson of University College London. It is at 7.30pm on Thursday 10 February 2022.

It is believed the roundhouse settlement in South Uist came into existence around 2200 BC. What was found by the team shed light on the lives of the islanders at that time and included a number of unique discoveries.

Afterwards, there will be a short programme of Gaelic poetry and music from Society members.

The event is free to society members and £5 for non-members.
