The Lord of the Isles ferry is making an unexpected return to service tomorrow (Monday January 17) after being laid-up by the impact of Covid-19
Pictured in Locboisdale ferry terminal on Friday, the ferry had been recuperating in the South Uist port from the wave of Covid-19 related absences which has hit CalMac Ferries.
CalMac say that a review of services has been carried out and they are now in a position to be able to operate the following sailings:
Monday 17 January
Depart Lochboisdale – 08:25. Arrive Oban – 13:35
Depart Oban - 15:00. Arrive Lochboisdale - 20:10
Wednesday 19th January
Depart Lochboisdale – 07:35. Arrive Oban – 12:45
In order to provide a connection with the Castlebay-Oban service, the first sailing departing Eriskay on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday will be brought forward to 06:45.
All other Mallaig/Oban-Lochboisdale services will remain cancelled until at least 6 February due to a combination of Covid related reasons and a delay to annual overhaul programme.
