The Hebridean Baker, Coinneach Macleod of South Lochs, is not only back in Lewis this week – he’s on the telly too!
Coinneach will be signing books at the Island Spirit Whisky shop in Stornoway on Friday 3 December – the same day that he appears on prime time Channel 4 TV, chatting with supreme Christmas-maker Kirstie Allsopp.
Kirstie’s Handmade Christmas will feature a spot of baking as Coinneach demonstrates his Hebridean hogmanay cocktail and delicious tispy laird trifle.
Meanwhile, live and in the flesh at the Island Spirit whisky shop (https://www.facebook.com/islandspiritwhisky) on Friday, he will sign his book, which will come with a free miniature of Jura whisky, helpful for making Coinneach’s Jura truffle recipe.
And before all that, Coinneach will be celebrating St Andrew’s Day tomorrow (Tuesday 30 November) when he appears on This Morning live with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. The show airs on ITV between 10am and 12.30pm.
Coinneach is successfully building up his small-screen baking experience, having already stormed America with a spot on CBS, where he showed how to make tipsy laird and mincemeat oat cookies last week (https://www.cbsnews.com/news/recipes-from-tiktok-food-celebrity-the-hebridean-baker-coinneach-macleod/)
And he’s also had a surprise hit on Serbian TV, introducing comedians Nikola and Nikola to whisky ice-cream, kilts and Gaelic as part of their travel show.
Pictures show Coinneach getting into Christmas spirit with Kirstie Allsopp and in his natural habitat in Lewis (The Hebridean Baker)
