Hot on the heels of good news about funding for the Hebridean Community Garden, comes the launch of a new veggie box scheme by the growing community project.

The Hebridean Community Garden is a horticultural project based at the Clan Macquarrie Community Centre, jointly managed with Urras Oighreachd Ghabhsainn (Galson Estate Trust).

From tomorrow (Thursday 28 October) the gardeners will be running a regular weekly honesty box system for fresh vegetables grown in their polycrubs and raised beds.

The locally-grown, fresh and affordable produce will be made available in careful selections designed to provide variety and tasty options such as kale, pak choi and assorted lettuces.
