The additional passenger services being provided by the Loch Seaforth ferry were cancelled today (Saturday July 24) less than a week after beginning to run after the freight ferry MV Arrow became inoperative.
CalMac Ferries state: "Due to a technical issue with MV Arrow, MV Loch Seaforth will operate the freight service from Sunday 25th July until further notice.
The following timetable will be in operation – Depart Stornoway – 22.30; Arrive Ullapool – 01.00; Depart Ullapool – 03.00 Arrive Stornoway – 05.30
As a result of this the following passenger sailings have been cancelled –
Monday 26th July – Departing Stornoway – 21.00
Tuesday 27th July – Departing Ullapool – 00.30
Friday 30th July – Departing Stornoway – 21.00
Saturday 31st July – Departing Ullapool – 00.30
The freight vessel MV Arrow joined CalMac on a short-term charter from Monday 19 July to 7 September 2021. The vessel is being operated by Seatruck on behalf of CalMac and was to be a dedicated freight service, providing additional capacity and resilience to the Ullapool/Stornoway route.
