Police thanks for public help

An appeal for information from the public last week (Friday 16 April) helped police to trace the driver of a blue Citroen car after an incident in the Steinish area.

The car had been seen being driven erratically and police had appealed for witnesses who might be able to add to the information they already had.

Following information supplied, the driver has been traced and arrested, and enquiries are ongoing on the circumstances of the incident.

Stornoway police passed on their thanks to those members of the public who provided additional information.
