The staff at An Lanntair arts centre in Stornoway say that: "We have been over the moon to open up An Lanntair building to visitors again this week – but the relaxation in restrictions means that we can also start getting out and about, meet face-to-face and bring our Full Circle creative fun back to community venues throughout Lewis and Harris!"

  • Kinloch Community Hub (Tue)
  • Tiumpanhead Community Centre (Tue)
  • Sporsnis (Wed)

Join Catriona Hill to explore storytelling through movement and dance in this fun session for pre-school children and their parent or carer. They will use some of our favourite well-known stories, as well as creating our own unique adventures. Whether you’ve done it before, or are trying something new, each session encourages us to get our bodies moving, be creative and, most important, have fun.

An Lanntair's  A Full Circle Creative Play also returns to real-life, face-to-face sessions in An Lanntair itself every Wednesday, while their Full Circle Creative Play Online sessions will remain running weekly until May 12.

This session is for children age 3 – 5 and their parent or carer to be creative together.  Arts Worker Alicia Matthews will lead you through a series of structured making activities.   The class will help children to develop fine motor skills and senses as they explore materials and mark-making.

Sessions are held in An Lanntair’s education room.  Class numbers are limited to allow for social distancing (therefore booking is essential).  Book a free ticket for each child and each adult attending.   Participants will be seated at tables with perspex dividers, and you will have a pile of materials for your family group to use.   Feel free to stay for the hour, but don’t worry about leaving early if your child has had enough.

If you have booked tickets but can’t attend, please contact the box office on 01851 708480 so that we can make the spaces available to another family.  If a workshop is ‘sold out’, ask to be placed on the waiting list in case tickets become available.

But An Lanntair warns, please be aware spaces on Full Circle activities are limited, booking is essential, and we will ask you to adhere to our COVID-safety guidelines.
