Let’s celebrate the young people of the Western Isles, says Comhairle nan Eilean Siar .

The Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards are Scotland’s biggest celebration of young people aged 11-26.

A CnES spokesperson said on Friday December 18: “After a difficult year, it’s time to shine a spotlight on the contribution which young people have made to the lives of others and our island communities.

“Take a moment to visit www.youngscotawards.com/ and nominate an inspirational young person you know - whether their contribution is in the local community, through sport, championing the environment or any of the other #YSAwards categories.”

Since its launch in 2006, the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards have been Scotland’s only national awards evening for the young people of Scotland. They have celebrated the inspirational contributions and achievements of thousands of young Scots who have made a real difference to communities across Scotland.

The presentation on Thursday 22nd April 2021 is planned as a virtual event, confirming the long reach of the Covid-19 crisis.
