Schools on the WestSide of Lewis are benefitting from being able to use an electronic chanter at a time when the use of wind instruments is banned.
Torman, a group supporting music and drama between Garynahine and Dalmore, have purchased an E-chanter to allow piping tuition to continue in local schools.
Because of COVID restrictions, musical instruments in the wind family, including piping, are not permitted in schools.
The E-chanter allows tuition to continue without the pupil having to blow into it.
Torman say they are grateful to the support received at their fundraising events before COVID struck which raised the finances for this purchase.
