The Hebridean Tea Store on Cromwell Street is reopening today (Monday August 17).

Owner Sabine Weiten says: "We are going back to be the smallest cafe on the island – if not in the UK – with just one table for two. To keep people safe, we have installed a divider to separate the seating area from the retail area."

When the Tea Store first opened, it was in tiny premises on Church Street achieving a status of being the smallest café on the Islands.

In the 'new normal', Sabine says: "There will only be two people allowed in the seating area and two people at a time in the retail area.

"Payment by card would be preferred. Takeaway tea and coffee are also available."

And she promises: "Fairly soon I will also start my baking again.

"Also, the website has now officially a click and collect/local pickup function for those who wish to order via the website.
